Linda Denise Blair aka Linda Blair was born on January 22, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri and was child actress and mdel since that age of six. She made her first motion picture at age 12 in 1971 and a year later was selected by director William Friedkin to play the pivotal role of Regan MacNeil the 14 year old satanically possessed girl in the film version of William Peter Blatty's horror novel THE EXORCIST. For her portrayal in the film, Ms. Blair was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1973 for that role. This lead to other film roles in AIRPORT 1975,the TV movies BORN INNOCENT(1974),SARAH T:PORTRAIT OF A TEENAGE ALCOHOLIC(1975), SWEET HOSTAGE(1976), RAID IN ENTEBBE(1976), SUMMER OF FEAR(1977). In 1977,Ms. Blair reprised her role of Regan in the sequel EXORCIST II:THE HERETIC which was a box office and critical failure and because of that, her only major movie role was ROLLER BOOGIE in 1980 That same year Ms. Blair lived life in the fast lane with parties, drugs and alcohol that led to a conviction in narcotic possession with three years probation. Because of that her film career led to Ms. Blair doing only low budgeted independent exploitation horror and action films such as HELL NIGHT(1981), SAVAGE STREETS(1984), CHAINED HEAT(1984),NIGHT PATROL(1985), RED HEAT(1985), SAVAGE ISLAND(1986), NIGHT FORCE (1987),GROTESQUE(1988), WITCHERY(1988) In 1990, Ms. Blair spoofed her Exorcist role in the horror comedy spoof REPOSSESSED(1990) with Leslie Neilsen. Im the 1990. she appeared in such TV shows as MARRIED WITH CHILDREN,MACGYVER,MURDER SHE WROTE and SUPERNATURAL. Ms. Blair is now currently a vegetarian and an animal rights advocate.
